The Inspector General School
The Inspector General School is a resident educational institution that focuses on teaching Army Inspectors General to implement the U.S. Army Inspector General system and its functions as a member of a Division Inspector General office. This focus supports the Army Chief of Staff’s priorities by emphasizing support to the Soldier, adapting the IG system to the Joint and Expeditionary mindset and the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) model, incorporating both active and reserve components into the IG system, and reevaluating the IG system for future force relevance. The school’s focus further supports the Department of Defense’s broader focus on supporting overseas contingency operations, strengthening combined and Joint warfighting, and enhancing warfighting capabilities.
